Good news, the Colorado State Patrol is getting serious about cell phone use, as reported by the
Rocky Mountain News. They’ll be asking drivers involved in serious accidents whether a cell phone was in use at the time of the accident. This is the first step towards helping people realize the dangers of talking on a phone while driving. There are ways to reduce that danger (wireless headset, for example), but few people seem to do so and even then it’s still more dangerous than pulling over to a safe spot off the road to make that call.
