Britney Spears was involved in a minor accident in stop and go traffic late Saturday, in which no damage was noted to any of the vehicles involved and no injuries were reported. So can someone please explain to us why this is even newsworthy in the first place, let along deserving of a spot on the front page of CNN's website? The incredibly un-newsworthy story can be viewed here. There's plenty of important news in the world, and US media chooses to run a story about a car accident in which no one was injured, no one was cited for any infractions, and no cars were damaged? The sad thing is, there might actually be some people in this country who WANT to know about stuff like this. Ok, rant over. :)
